Indochina 2009

Photos by Adam Jones

These photos were taken during two months in Indochina
(Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam) from May to July 2009.

Photo Gallery 24: Laos - Don Khon and Don Det

This gallery: our first images of Laos come from the "Four Thousand Islands" (Si Phan Don)
on the Mekong River only a couple of kilometres from the Cambodian frontier. We stayed on the island of Don Khon,
a quieter scene than the better-known Don Det to the north, where many pictures here were also taken.
A real slice of Lao rural life.

This pet monkey had befriended one of the household's chickens,
and was carefully grooming it when we wandered by.
