Prejmer is a 13th-century Saxon village near Brasov, with a fortified Gothic
Evangelical church dating from that period which is listed, together with Harman's
fortified church (see following gallery), as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A total of 272 cells built around the inner wall provided
accommodation when villagers had to flee to the safety of the fortified church.
